Dr. Ann Carnes
“There is nothing better than seeing a patient smile confidently, after hiding their teeth for so many years.”
Dr. Ann Carnes received her DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX in 1987. She grew up watching her dad, Paul Carnes, DMD, make patients feel like family and she aims to do the same.
Even though she’s been around for a while, Dr. Ann takes the time to do continuing education like advanced training with Ultradent.
When Dr. Ann isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and grandbaby.
She loves her patients, but she also enjoys gardening, serving at church, being outdoors, and reading, although her favorite pastime is traveling with her family and friends.
Dr. Penny Crain

Dr. Penny Crain, general dentist, has been practicing at Carnes Family Dental since May 12, 2014. Dr. Penny graduated from the University Of Kentucky School Of Dentistry and has been practicing as a general dentist since 1995.
She has practiced in Lexington and Bardstown and has worked as an interim dentist in several offices in Hardin County.
When she’s not caring for patients, she loves to spend time with her husband and two children.
